Answering the Question of What Does Self-Esteem Mean

Answering the Question of What Does Self-Esteem MeanPaul Bogard is an author and teacher who was born in New York City. He has a Ph.D. in Teaching Administration from Penn State University. In 2020, he co-founded the Association for Online Masters Degrees. The group's mission is to 'educate the public on important educational issues that have immediate impact upon us.' Among the topics covered are social media, brain science, and life skills.Paul Bogard wrote the following sample essay, which addresses the question of what does self-esteem mean. The thesis of the piece is that an individual's self-esteem has a direct effect on the happiness of his or her life.Life is a gift. People should treat it as such. If I am happy with what I have and what I am doing with my life, I can be assured that my happiness is so because I have invested my life into it.Happiness begins with the self. We think that we are one good piece of furniture when we are actually a bundle of parts. The person is no t the sum of its parts, but the sum of its parts and the person are the sum of all its parts, even when we add them up, and they fit perfectly.A person may fail to recognize himself or herself, as they do not understand themselves to begin with. One thing that a person should not ever do is to live by the premise that he or she is unworthy. He or she is worthy by virtue of the person's presence within him or her.A person who is able to appreciate life and the world around him or her, will be happy and that happiness will produce a greater sense of fulfillment in person. A person will be the best judge of his or her own self. A person's self-confidence is a measure of his or her happiness. It is always better to be truly happy rather than get yourself into a situation where you are trying to be happy. When you are trying to be happy, you are often being negative, which results in unhappiness.
